UNIFIG needs to be configured only once per
source-destination synchronisation event.A configuration commences by defining the target servers for a
particular source, as shown below. Multiple targets can be defined per source.

The desired source configuration data can be selected, examined
and filtered as required to obtain a source configuration tag list, depicted below.

The figure below shows how the configuration to be transferred based on the
source configuration can be explicitly tuned to meet the target system requirements.

The transfer of properties from one system to the
other is done by setting up tag maps. A mapping can be created for a range of tags of a certain type, for example,
the PV value of TagType1 in WinCC should always be used as the current value of the tag in InSQL. When this is complete,
a list of all the values that will be exported is generated, as shown below. This side-by-side configuration can
be verified and the synchronisation (or export, based on the target system) can commence if the user is satisfied with
the results.
This process can be repeated or performed on various source-destination combinations based on the same
UNIFIG transformation configuration.
